Why You Need To Change Your Life – 4 Steps To Do It

Why You Need to Change Your LifeAs I look around my world this morning, it seems like people are struggling with life. I mean sure, some people are just dandy. But there is a whole slew of folks around me that are having a hard time motivating themselves out of bed in the morning.

It could just be the holiday season – the expectation of being far more merry than one actually is, the added pressure of spending money none of us have or the emotional attachments around the holidays. Or it could, over all, be time for a new start. Tis the season for new years resolutions, right?

Lowered mood usually comes from too much thinking – of some sort. Maybe anxious thoughts or maybe just rumination about life and all of the stuff in it. And then you get to thinking about all of the things that are wrong, things you’d like to fix or change but don’t have the time, energy, money or know-how. And those resources are finite and don’t come out of the air. And then it just feels helpless, which then contributes to a downward spiral of lowness and maybe even depression.

What if I told you that it looks too big in your head – but that’s an illusion…. things we’re afraid of, ALWAYS look bigger than they really are in our own head? That’s the nature of fear. And what if I told you that just because it’s the only thing you can think about doesn’t mean anything either? We humans have this stupid habit of being enthralled by the bad stuff.

Changing your life is REALLY, super, duper, OMG easy. However, the idea that you can think positively and change your life is ridiculous. I mean sure, thinking positively is a great step in the right direction and yes, you will be MUCH happier if you can mange to convince yourself to focus on good things instead of bad things – but your life won’t magickally change as a result of thinking positively.

No… a life changing method needs some meat on it. You have to actually DO THINGS to change your life. The problem is, when you look at those big bad issues in your head or the looming mountain of seemingly impossible things that you want, you don’t see a foothold. I have a really easy method for changing ALL OF IT that will give you simple, small footholds.

But before I tell you what it is, here are the rules :
1) No skipping ahead. You have to actually complete each step until you can step back and look at it and go ‘Wow. I like that’.
2) No looking at how simple it is and deciding you can just make up what you think the steps mean. If you could, you’d have done it already based upon the 50 million books on your shelf about how to change your life.
3) Also no looking at how simple it is and deciding that it looks just like your 50 million books. I promise it’s not. If it were, your life would have been changed by the 50 million books.
4) And no looking at how simple it is and deciding that it can’t possibly work.
5) Finally, No looking at how simple it is and trying to make it seem very difficult. It’s not. It’s simple.

I’ll give you the steps – hold your horses! BUT… following this post, I will also go through each step and explain it really well and give you lots of cool ideas for finishing it really well. I’ll be giving examples for weight loss and for ‘My Life Sucks, Let Me Out Please’ – so once you have been blown away by the simplicity of these 4 steps that will change your life, do come back.

4 Steps to Change Your Life

aka 4 Steps to Creating Non-New Years Resolutions That Will Actually Stick

1. Summarize your Goal – Create a Mission Statement
2. Break it down into steps – Create a Plan
3. Integrate your plan into daily life – Do it!

That’s it. That’s all. No fairy dust required. You don’t even have to think positively while you do it. You can even be grumpy. It will still work.

But first, just one more thing. Start with a little bit of back story on why you need to change your life, to begin with. Where it went off track and why it’s easy to get it back on track with Your True Path.

Then read on – How to Create a One Sentence Mission Statement for Your Life
