There is a gaggle of gals who hang around these parts that I call the Clairs. They are clairvoyance, clairaudience, Clairsentience, Claircognizance, Clairgustance and Clairscentance and clairtactile.
Clairvoyance (clear seeing)
Someone who is clairvoyant is more likely to see auras, colors or scenes. it is a common misconception that ‘everyone is clairvoyant’. Although everyone is ‘psychic’, not everyone sees things.
Clairaudience (clear hearing)
Someone who is clairaudient will hear voices or sounds.
Clairsentience (clear Sensing or feeling)
Someone who is clairsentient, will feel what a person feels like rather than seeing what they look like or hearing their voice. They likely get strong ‘feelings’ about someone when they meet them. They are often described as empathic or empaths because they are able to have empathy for situations they have never experienced.
Claircognizant (clear knowing)
A claircognizant often knows how or why something is without having any reason why they should have such knowledge. They intuition works as if they have simply discovered something that was already in their mind but they just didn’t know it.
Clairgustant (clear Taste) and/or Clairscentist (clear Scent)
These are often lumped together because of how the body processes scent and taste. An example of this would be someone who catches a whiff of a particular perfume when a certain person is around even if they aren’t wearing that perfume.
Clairtactile (Clear touching)
A clairtactile feels physical sensations in their body when they sense something.
How it Works
Energy doesn’t actually have form in order to stimulate our actual senses. So how do we see, hear, feel, smell or taste something that doesn’t have form? Our neurological system is our physical system for relaying information to our brain about what we are experiencing or how we are interacting with the world around us. Chakras are energy metabolizers that are in our etheric body.
Each Chakra functions to “step down” the “universal energy” (common fabric) into energy that our body can comprehend or use. Chakra energy is electromagnetic and causes an electrochemical reaction in the nerves it interfaces with. Those reactions in our nervous and endocrine system give our bodies life. This energy powers our system and simultaneously, our brain attempts to interpret the ‘signals’ it carries.
Our body is only capable of certain physical sensations and our brain has certain cognitive abilities around those physical sensations. Our psychic language (or clairs) is essentially the way that our brain translates the non-physical sensations it is receiving on a subtle level into something we can understand using our sensory and cognitive strengths. When a clairvoyant “sees” something, they aren’t seeing it with their eyes, they are seeing it with their mind’s eye. This “seeing” is our brain’s way of translating the energetic feedback it got into something we can understand. That means that which clair we are will depend upon what our cognitive and neurological strengths are.
