What to Look For in a Good Psychic

• Make sure that the psychic you choose is able to give you the type of information you are looking for. For instance, some psychics specialize in business, love or money. You wouldn’t go see a psychic who specializes in love for your business problem!
• Experience. Does this psychic have any formal training, years of experience and references? Although formal training and years of experience DO NOT make the psychic, this psychic should have references they could give you.

Warning Signs of Fraudulent Psychics

Steer clear of psychics who boast, do or have a history of the following :

• Accuracy rate – If they promise an accuracy ‘rate’ or percentage, BEWARE! There is no such thing as an accuracy rate. This is a sales gimmick. What you are told in a reading may or may not come true, depending upon the choices you make when you leave the reading. It is also often the case that something the psychic said doesnt make sense until days or even months later when you suddenly run across the photo of the ‘Great Aunt Clara’ you had forgotten you had. Knowing that, it would be impossible to gather reliable data about accuracy. Do you wait 6 months to ask someone how accurate it was? Won’t they have forgotten much of what was said by then? What if they have made the decision to change their life to avoid things that were said in the reading? What would be a more reliable way to decide upon the psychic’s accuracy would be to have a sample reading or to ask around. These days, you can often find online reviews of psychics in your area.
• Guaranteed contact with deceased loved ones – Just like you or I, disembodied spirits have things to do and places to be. They may be otherwise occupied when you wish to talk to them.. or they may have simply ‘moved on’ to heaven, nirvana, the one or reincarnation – however you perceive the afterlife. Look out for anyone that guarantees contact with your loved ones. They are just trying to make a buck.
• Asking questions – A good psychic will not ask you questions during a reading. A good con artist will ask seemingly innocuous questions and then feed that information back to you. For instance, you come into the shop and they say ‘Hi! How are you!’ Although, to an honest psychic, your response would simply be a response, any information you give other than ‘fine’ could give a con artist valuable information about you. During the actual reading, if a psychic asks ANY questions or phrases their information in the form of a question – for instance, “Do you have an aunt Clara?”, this is a sign of a probable fraud.
• Questionable Rates or Charging Practices – A psychic that charges by the minute is probably not worth your time. There is no way for a psychic that charges by the minute to keep you apprised of the amount of time that has passed and there is too much room for stretching the reading out by seconds that stretch into expensive minutes. A psychic should always ask you before extending the time you have/will pay for. Their rates should be clearly spelled out.

What to Expect From a Psychic Reading

• You should be able to expect to not answer questions and to be told what you ask. It is ok for a psychic to say ‘Im not sure’. A good psychic is not necessarily all knowing.
• You will not remember your entire session. Often, during a reading, one comes down with what I affectionately refer to as ‘reading head’. It’s a foggy or fuzzy frame of reference that often makes you unable to recall details of the session afterwards… or even during a session, forget pertinent details about your life that could help you connect what the psychic is saying.
