How to Be Psychic

There seems to be some sense of mysteriousness surrounding psychic or mediumship abilities. Most people assume that it’s something that a select few have. That it’s some sort of calling by the gods or a gift from heaven or some other mystical explanation for why some people seem to have it while others don’t.

You know me… cut right through the frou frou. So, here’s the secret that no psychic wants you to know. Everybody has it. Everybody has ‘the sixth sense’. Every single person alive has psychic abilities. Yes, you too can talk to dead people. There you have it.

The thing is that our clairs (clairvoyance, clairsentience, claircognizance, clairtactile, clairaudience) are completely natural, inherent to human, regular senses just like our senses of taste, smell, hearing, feeling and seeing. Our physical senses are capable of being strengthened. Eye exercises can strengthen eyesight. A blind person might develop a more clear sense of hearing to compensate for the sense of sight. Low and behold, our ‘extrasensory’ abilities can be strengthened to by tuning out the physical world every now and then and tuning into what isn’t coming from our common tangible-world senses.

The things we do with those senses can be trained and practiced just like a dog might be trained to use it’s sense of smell to find bombs or a human can use a trained sense of taste to distinguish between wines. Not everyone can do those things because not everyone has practiced those things. Our reflexes and behaviors surrounding our senses have to be trained to do things like mediumship and giving psychic readings.

Training and practice are the only things that distinguish a psychic from a ‘regular person’. Sure, some people are naturals… just like some people are natural basketball players or natural seamstresses. But anyone can learn those skills just like anyone can learn to be psychic. A psychic who does readings for a living has spent a portion of their life training for their profession just like an accountant or a sports professional. That’s ALL that sets them apart.

Being a psychic or a medium might feel like a calling to the person. Maybe they would even say they were called by god or similar. But that doesn’t mean that their intangible world senses or their decision to practice was a gift of god. It’s just a natural sense and a career decision they made!

So, to be psychic, drink a glass of water to cleanse your palate and give you some freedom of internal motion, close your eyes in a quiet place without distractions and just think. Think about yourself and other people surrounding you. What do you know about those people? Did they tell you those things or do you just know those things? Pat yourself on the back. Good job being psychic.

To grow your psychic abilities, take a class or two, read books and PRACTICE! Trust your gut instincts and learn to listen to the quiet voice that often gets stifled by a bustling physical world.

And really? That’s ALL it takes.
