True Path Healing
True Path healing was developed by Carrie Hammond, beginning in 2000 and finalized with her patent in 2008. It is an alternative healing modality in which the practitioner uses a methodical intuitive counseling approach to identify and heal mental and emotional blockages along with the client.
Rather than focusing on the symptoms, True Path Healing gets to the root of the issue. Whether the issue is in relationships, money, spirituality, parenting or something else, True Path Healing finds the core of the issue, explains it and resolves it to create a ripple of positive change in the client’s life. Although it’s not a quick fix, True Path Healing truly does lead to an easier more fulfilled life because it empowers the client in accessing and following their most ideal path.
Philosophy and Basis
True Path Healing is based upon the understandings that :
- True path healing is based upon the premise that everyone has their own path and that there is no such thing as a good or bad action – so it is not subject to interpretation or perspective. Things simply are in line with one’s True Path or not. The basic foundation principal is that everyone has an ideal Life Path. As we get further off of that path, life becomes more difficult and our spiritual, mental and physical health fails. In short, unhappiness and distress is the root of mental and physical dis-ease. As for mind-body connection, The True Path Healing paradigm falls on the side of pragmatic dualism.
- The use of intuition is vital to the practice of True Path Healing and is at the core of why this healing style is considered a spiritual healing style.
- Much like acupuncture or Reiki, In True Path Healing, we use the knowledge that every living being has meridian-type channels that are meant to naturally carry a flow of energy. Blockages in these channels can cause a blockage in thought patterns and behavior and inversely, blockages in thought patterns and behavior, caused by other means, can create energetic blockages.
- Our mind is an amazing thing. When we experience a trauma that we may be unable to safely experience, the mind creates walls around those things to keep us protected from them. The practitioners role is to identify the defenses and based upon the information that can be gleaned from the defenses, figure out what is being protected. Then the practitioner can heal or assist the client in healing that part of the client in such a way that it does not need to be protected and energy can flow freely through that piece of them allowing them to move past it and closer to their True Path.
Why True Path Healing is Different
Many new age healing techniques are based upon dubious new age theories that cannot be proven or disproved or claim that in order to work, the client must ‘believe’ in them.
- Most new age healing modalities sound too good to be true – and they probably are! Although there is something to be said for stepping outside of the box, if it defies logic or proven fact, it’s probably bogus. The process of True Path Healing, on the other hand, is based upon commonly accepted Freudian, transpersonal and philosophical psychological theory as well as good old fashioned common sense.
- Any method that requires you to believe in it in order to work is probably only having a placebo effect. It does not require the belief of the client or any work on the client’s part other than a readiness and desire to change.
- True Path Healers take their practice seriously by keeping records, studying their outcomes and changing their practice around them and following up with clients on the healings they perform.
Although True Path Healing is NOT psychology or a medically recognized practice, it is a complimentary alternative treatment that can work hand in hand with psychological treatment.
What it is Effective in Healing
- Feeling of Being Stuck – Often this feeling of not being able to move forward in life is because we are spinning our wheels in old tracks that were laid in our childhood. We are truly capable of achieving anything we put our minds to – but old thought patterns can keep us from putting our minds to it! How often have you tried to ‘think positively’ and were unable to? It’s easy for someone to say that’s all you have to do – doing it is the hard part. By undoing the event or pattern that causes the defeating pattern, you’ll be making progress in life again in no time.
- Depression or Anxiety – Depression and anxiety are complex problems that are precipitated by old thought patterns. Often we even know WHY we are depressed but just can’t seem to break the haze. Having an outside viewpoint help you get to the root of the issue and rewrite it causes a ripple effect forward that will change your entire perspective on everything.
- Missing Childhood Memories – All of our memories are there. Sometimes though, in the process of growing up, they are stashed away and become difficult to retrieve for a variety of reasons. There are hypnosis techniques for retrieving lost memories that are controversial for good reason. Unlike hypnosis, by using a gentle, round about way of approaching the memories, you, not the practitioner, will begin to access those memories. They will not be suggested or recreated.
- Childhood abuse - Sure, a majority of people have difficult childhoods for one reason or another. That doesn’t make yours any less traumatizing. The fact is that as young children, we are more susceptible to and less able to deal with traumatic events, especially abuse. Childhood abuse can leave a mess of tire tracks through our adult lives. It can be the culprit behind abusive relationships, depression and anxiety, poor self esteem, low sense of confidence and a number of other things. True Path Healing can help you rewrite these traumatic events in a way that causes a domino effect of healing and perspective shift through your life. You will be able and capable to change your life once and for all.
