Divinity Temple
Deity doesn’t have to be wrapped up in religion. God/ess/e/s are experiences of a universal common fabric compassing the beginning and the end, all things, all times, all thoughts, all beings. Whether you see god as a piece of you as your higher self or a being in the skies, this rite allows you to experience the up close and personal connection with that piece of the universe. Feel deity ripple across your consciousness in a vast, eye opening way. Experience healing and deep peace in a non-denominational, non-religion specific sacred space.
What to Expect :
A main temple area is set up with statues, images and objects devoted to a variety of deities from a wide range of cultures, currently including Kali, Cernunnos, Buddha, Jesus, Cerridwen, Tiamat, Lakshmi, Shiva, Dianna (as well as saints, angels and the like when inspired to do so). Each deity will be honored in turn with a chant, song or evocation, a candle and an offering, where applicable.
Any non-dogmatic devotion that does not infringe on other’s ability to perform their own devotion is appropriate – including prayer, chanting and meditation. Come for only a few minutes or stay for the entire event. You’re welcome to bring your own deity to add for the ceremony.
Those with allergies are cautioned that this event includes the use of incense and essential oils.
Offerings at the altar of a few flowers, incense, a lit candle, money or other small culturally appropriate offerings are acceptable. Deity statues, representations or permanent offerings such as stones and trinkets are also welcome to be left for the use of future divinity temples.
* Perishable offerings will be offered back to nature outdoors when the temple is closed.
* Money offerings left on the altar will be collected for additional statues or representations of the deity it was left for.
